Beautiful Willow Poem by Kelly Boutin

Beautiful Willow

You're such a beautiful Willow
So soft and sweet and gentle
My Love, I love to love you
Under the shade of the willow
My beautiful, beautiful Willow
You're such a beautiful willow

When the rain is pouring
when the wind blows East
when you think you're dying
look into the trees;

In the sweet heart of the summer
Under the shade of the willow
We'll grow old and we'll grow younger
Under the shade of the willow
Where time is only a number
In the sweetheart of forever

When the skies are cloudy
When the world is grey
When I feel like crying
You always seem to say

Hang your heart by the river
Under the shade of the willow
My beautiful, beautiful willow
You're such a beautiful willow

You keep me safe by the river
Under the shade of the willow
My beautiful, beautiful willow
You're such a beautiful willow

In the deep heart of the winter
They'll be no leaves on the willow
But I'll be there to hold you
As the days grow colder

When time goes by on the river
We'll grow old and we'll grow closer
Under the shade of the willow

Where time is only a number
Under the shade of the willow
My beautiful, beautiful willow
You're such a beautiful willow

Hang your heart by the river
Under the shade of the willow
My beautiful, beautiful willow
You're such a beautiful willow
